WeNabe — Terms of use

1. About WeNabe

WeNabe (wenabe.com) is a community platform for the Muslim community and beyond: listings for paid work, volunteering, apprenticeships and learning; talent, recruiter and co-founder profiles; stories; events; and a message board. By using WeNabe you agree to these terms and to our privacy notice.

2. Free for job seekers

WeNabe is free. We don't charge job seekers anything, for anything. At launch there are no paid features for anyone. If we ever add paid options, they will be for organisations only, and we will update these terms first.

3. Your account

  • You must be 18 or over and give accurate information.
  • Keep your password safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time in your account settings.

4. Posting on WeNabe

When you post a listing, profile, story, event or message, you confirm that:

  • it is honest and accurate, and you have the right to post it
  • it is lawful, respectful, and not misleading, offensive or spam
  • it doesn't include anyone else's personal details without their permission

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to display it on WeNabe, and to show it to other people as these terms and the privacy notice describe, for as long as it's on the site.

5. Listings and fair treatment (Equality Act 2010)

  • A listing must not exclude or discourage applicants because of a protected characteristic: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
  • Workplace details such as a prayer space, flexible prayer times or a hijab-friendly dress policy describe what the employer offers. They are shown as "stated by the employer" unless WeNabe has checked them. They are never a condition for applying.
  • If a role genuinely requires a particular characteristic (for example, an imam), you must say so and explain why. That listing is reviewed by an administrator before it can appear.
  • Listings stay live for the period you choose (30, 60, 90 or 180 days), or until their closing date.

6. Moderation

We review listings, profiles, stories and events before they appear, and moderate the message board. We may approve, reject, hide or remove content, and suspend accounts, that break these terms, including listings that exclude applicants unfairly. Where we can, we'll tell you why. Contact privacy@wenabe.com if you disagree with a decision.

7. Applications

When you apply through WeNabe, the person who posted the listing sees your note, a copy of your WeNabe CV as it was when you applied, and your phone number. Any hiring decision is between you and them. WeNabe doesn't employ, recruit for, or represent either side, and doesn't guarantee any outcome. [SOLICITOR TO CONFIRM WORDING]

8. Listings from other websites

Some listings are imported from other websites. Each is marked "Imported from [source]" and links to the original, where you apply. That content belongs to its source, and we can't guarantee it is accurate or still open.

9. Our responsibility

We work to keep WeNabe accurate and safe, but we can't check everything members post, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. [LIMITATION OF LIABILITY WORDING — SOLICITOR]. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law.

10. Changes and law
